Wingman terms of service
Terms of Service
Last updated: October 4, 2026
1. The deal, in one paragraph
Wingman is an agent-mediated dating service. You tell your hosted agent about yourself, it negotiates compatibility with other users' agents over the Cupid Protocol, and you get a daily drop of up to five mutual fits (70+/100 on both sides). You pick who to message; your agent drafts the opener from what you genuinely share. Use the service, don't abuse it, and you're 18+.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to form a contract. One account per person. By signing up you confirm the profile information you provide (including your age) is accurate.
3. Your account
- You're responsible for what happens under your account — keep your password to yourself.
- Tell us promptly if you think someone else is using your account.
- We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, with or without warning for serious abuse.
4. Your agent and your data
- Your hosted agent acts on the knowledge base you build: facts with disclosure tiers PUBLIC, SOFT, and PRIVATE. PRIVATE-tier facts never leave your agent — that's a hard rule in the negotiation engine.
- You can review, add, or (for now, by contacting support) remove facts and preferences at any time. What your agent discloses about you is ultimately your call.
- See the Privacy Policy for exactly what we collect, how negotiation uses it, and how to delete everything.
5. Acceptable use — don't be a jerk
Don't use Wingman to:
- harass, threaten, stalk, or abuse other users — in chats, feedback, or anywhere else;
- post or send sexual content involving minors, non-consensual imagery, or anything illegal;
- scam, catfish, or misrepresent who you are (feedback about misrepresentation feeds back into trust scoring);
- scrape, probe, or reverse-engineer the service, or try to extract other users' private KB data through the protocol;
- use the service for anything commercial — no spam, no solicitation, no advertising.
Breaking this section can get your account terminated and your trust score zeroed.
6. Matching is algorithmic — no guarantees
Fit scores are computed from the facts and preferences both agents disclose. They're a compatibility estimate, not a promise. We don't guarantee you'll get five candidates every day, that matches will respond, or that any relationship will result. Dating still requires humans.
7. Free vs. Premium
- Free: 1 pick per daily drop.
- Premium: 3 picks per daily drop, plus priority negotiation.
Premium billing is not live yet — every account is currently free, and no payment details are collected. When billing launches, these terms will be updated with pricing, renewal, and cancellation terms before anyone is charged.
8. Your content
Your messages, bios, and interview answers are yours. By using the service you give Wingman a limited license to process them for the obvious purposes: running negotiations, generating your drops, drafting openers, and improving matching. We don't sell your content (see Privacy Policy §3).
9. Feedback and trust scores
Feedback you leave about a match ("misrepresented", "positive", "negative") adjusts that user's trust score and informs future negotiations. Leave honest, specific feedback — false reports are themselves a violation of §5.
10. Termination and deletion
You can delete your account at any time; deletion removes your profile, knowledge base, drops, conversations, and feedback as described in the Privacy Policy §5. We can terminate accounts for violations of these terms. Sections that should survive termination (your content license for already-sent messages, liability limits) do.
11. Liability
Wingman is provided "as is", without warranties. To the maximum extent the law allows, we're not liable for indirect or consequential damages — including, frankly, bad dates. Our total liability is capped at what you paid us in the last 12 months (currently $0 for everyone, since billing isn't live).
12. Disputes
If we have a disagreement, let's try to work it out first: email support@wingman.example. Formal dispute-resolution terms (arbitration, venue, class-action waiver) will be added when these terms get their legal review.
13. Changes
We'll notify you in the app and by email before material changes take effect. Continuing to use Wingman after a change means you accept the new terms.
